Local support. Real nourishment. Lasting change for children in our communities. See below for participating retailers.

Donate at Participating Stores January – April

After a record-breaking campaign that helped provide 2.2+ million nutritious meals to children through 3,000+ breakfast programs across Canada.

We’re back to do even more for hungry children in your community—now’s the time to fill little tummies with big possibilities.

Thank you to our Sponsor Partners

With the support of our caring partnering grocery stores and this year’s Make Happy Tummies Brand Partners, 100% of your donation will stay right in the community where it is made, helping nourish local children.

Look for these sponsor products in flyers and in-store.

Donate in-store to nourish local children

Thanks to you—our shoppers—and the incredible support of our retailer partners, a record 2.2M nutritious meals were made possible by our first Make Happy Tummies campaign!

Your next grocery trip can help feed a child, including now at Adonis.

How Donations Last Year Are Helping

1 in 3 children in Canada arrive at school hungry.1 That’s a child trying to learn, grow, and feel hopeful on an empty stomach. But thanks to generous shoppers, 100% of donations made during last year’s Make Happy Tummies campaign and online throughout the year are at work.

Your support makes a significant difference in our students’ lives. We are truly grateful for your kindness and commitment to them.

– Make Happy Tummies supported school (BC)

You’re having a real and immediate impact on our small school located in the most disadvantaged neighbourhood of our city. Your support means students will have more complete and comforting meals, truly making a difference. Your generosity touches us deeply, not only nourishing stomachs but also hearts.

– Make Happy Tummies supported school (ON)

We are helping many of our students in our community during some challenging times. Thank you for making a difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of my donation goes towards student nutrition/breakfast programs?

100% of proceeds raised from Make Happy Tummies benefit student nutrition programs in local communities in the vicinity of the stores where donations are made OR in the province where the donation is made when made online. Donations benefit Student Nutrition Ontario (SNO) in Ontario or Breakfast Club of Canada in Western Canada, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.

No. The only people eligible for a tax receipt for donations made in-store during the campaign are the individual donors.

We work with our student nutrition partners, to identify eligible school-based student nutrition programs. These programs benefit from donations made in-store and online once the campaign ends.

The Donation Tracker includes the programs that benefit currently. Once our annual fundraising campaign concludes, we distribute donations to schools that have been identified / partnered with stores. This tracker and the schools found there are continuously being updated.

Many of our grocery store partners offer options to make donations of a toonie and several other donation options, including in some cases open donations.  The Foundation accepts donations of $5 or more online which are eligible for a tax receipt.

We do not publish school names for privacy reasons.

No. But rest assured, donations that are made in-store will remain in the local community in the vicinity of the grocery store where the donation is made. For online donations , we will make every effort to have those donations benefit student nutrition programs in the region. For certain, donations made online will remain in the province associated with the online donation.

The criteria are determined by the organizations that administer the programs and is based on nutrition guidelines set by each respective province.
